RESUMO
Islas Canarias es un archipiélago de origen volcánico, que goza de un excepcional clima subtropical oceánico. La gastronomía de las Islas Canarias se caracteriza por su sencillez, variedad y riqueza de ingredientes dada la fragmentación del territorio con recetas diferenciadas en cada isla, la variedad de los productos de la tierra y el mar de las islas, y su diversidad por los múltiples aportes culturales recibidos a lo largo de su historia. La gastronomía canaria está influida por otras cocinas, sobre todo por la herencia de los guanches y la influencia de la gastronomía latinoamericana, muy especialmente de la venezolana, país con el que el archipiélago ha tenido históricas relaciones humanas y culturales, y también reminiscencias de la gastronomía del continente africano. Canary Islands is an archipelago of volcanic origin,which enjoys an exceptional oceanic subtropical climate.The gastronomy of the Canary Islands is characterized by its simplicity, variety and richness of ingredients given the fragmentation of the territory with different recipes on each island, the variety of products from theland and the sea of the islands, and its diversity due tothe multiple cultural contributions received throughout its history. Canarian gastronomy is influenced by other cuisines, especially by the heritage of the Guanches and the influence of Latin American cuisine, particularly Venezuela, a country with historical human and cultural relations which the archipelago, and also reminiscences of the gastronomy of the African continent.
